Clinical Psychology Option

The Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology is a three year program directed at meeting the requirements for licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Massachusetts.

Students are accepted in the Fall of each year. The Priority Application Deadline is January 15th. (Please see Admission Information in the left-hand margin for additional information on deadlines.) This group of 15 students forms a cohort that takes all of their courses together for the next three years.

This small and intimate group experience allows students individual face to face attention by faculty and promotes substantial growth in clinical and academic expertise. Students are required to enroll in both academic and applied courses including practicum and internship. Although the curriculum provides a broad exposure to a variety of therapy modalities the emphasis is on training in a behavioral perspective.

The program has been in existence for over 25 years and has educated hundreds of individuals who now work as clinician’s in mental health agencies, clinics, halfway houses, day programs, alternative schools and private practice at sites all over Massachusetts and throughout the country. Graduates of our program have earned the respect of agencies everywhere resulting in our graduates being highly recruited upon completion of the degree.
