Portugal is a puzzle – consisting of many diverse regions and their traditions, a melting pot of diverse cultures and ways of life. In this course we will study modern Portugal and put a few pieces of the puzzle together. We will develop a picture of this country at the periphery of Europe using new anthropological studies in interaction with film, literature and music.
