MS Program Outcomes

Students will demonstrate:

  • an advanced level of understanding in the broad areas of electrical or computer engineering;
  • a depth of understanding at an advanced level in an area of specialization;
  • mastery of a body of knowledge;
  • the ability to acquire, process and disseminate information and knowledge; and
  • the ability to present and explain their results orally to an audience of informed professionals.
PhD Program Outcomes

Students will demonstrate:

  1. comprehensive understanding in the broad areas of electrical or computer engineering;
  2. comprehensive knowledge of a specific area for the purposes of conducting research;
  3. the ability to identify research topics and formulate research proposals;
  4. the ability to develop innovative solutions to research problems;
  5. the ability to communicate results in writing consistent with standards for peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings; and
  6. the ability to present and defend their results orally for an audience of informed professionals.
