To support an undergraduate student who is the first in his or her family to attend college.  This scholarship will be based on financial need and merit with financial need taking precedence. Approx. $1000.

 For a full time sophomore, junior or senior who is maintaing a 3.0 GPA in the African American Studies program.  Preference will be given to students who are actively involoved at the Frederick Douglass Unity House.

 For UMass Dartmouth students from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds.  Preference will be given to Charlton College of Business sophomore students with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and to Native American, African American, or Cape Verdean students who have demonstrated leadership in extra-curricular activites.

Juniors or Seniors in good academic standing with demonstrated financial need.

Bertram Berger Memorial Scholarship For undergraduate junior or senior status Civil and Environmental Engineering students.
This is a need and merit based scholarship with need taking priority. Financial need as well as academic and leadership achievement will be considered.
Students entering their junior year shall apply for the scholarship in the second semester of thier sophomore year, and students entering their senior year shall apply in the second semester of thier junior year.
