The Charlton College of Business offers Master of Business Administration (MBA) students the chance to study abroad for one, two, or four weeks in the summer in Lyon, France. Earn three or six credits studying business courses at the Emlyon College of Business with this opportunity that prepares students to understand the global role of business in an increasingly interconnected world.

Course options

MBA students can earn elective credit through UMass Dartmouth course equivalencies. Master's in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Management, or Technology Management students should meet with their graduate program director to ensure transferability of courses to their degree requirements.

Enroll in two classes over the course of four weeks from July 7 - July 31 for a total of six credits.

  • Wine Marketing & Wine Culture course equivalency to UMassD's MKT 690: Special Topics in Marketing.
  • Sustainable Entrepreneurship course equivalency to UMassD's MGT 690: Special Topics in Management.

Enroll in two classes over the course of four weeks from July 7 - July 31 for a total of six credits.

  • Branding course equivalency to UMassD's MKT 690: Special Topics in Marketing.
  • The AI Nexus: Legal and Data Challenges course equivalency to UMassD's MIS 690: Special Topics in Management Information Systems.

Enroll in one of the following courses for two weeks, earning three credits:

  • Wine Marketing & Wine Culture July 7-18, 3 credits
  • Branding July 7-18, 3 credits
  • Sustainable Entrepreneurship July 21-31, 3 credits
  • The AI Nexus: Legal and Data Challenges July 21-31, 3 credits

Requirements

To participate in this program, students must have completed at least one semester at UMassD and have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Additional prerequisites may be found in the International Programs Office

MBA students can apply through the International Programs Office's study abroad platform, VIA. Log in with your UMassD username and password and click the yellow "apply" button.
