ECE Ph.D. Student and Faculty Receiving Best Paper

‌ECE Ph.D. student Qisi Liu and her advisor Professor Liudong Xing received the Best Paper Award for their paper presented at the 2015 International Conference on Quality, Reliability, Risk, Maintenance, and Safety Engineering. The paper title is "Hierarchical Reliability Analysis of Multi-state Cloud-RAID Storage System", which proposes a novel two-level hierarchical, analytical modeling method for assessing reliability of modern cloud-RAID storage systems. Qisi Liu received her M.S. degree in computer engineering and is currently working towards her Ph.D. degree. Dr. Xing joined the ECE department in September 2002 as an assistant professor, was tenured and promoted to associate professor in 2008, and promoted to professor in 2013. She is a recipient of the 2010 Scholar of the Year award and 2014 Leo M. Sullivan Teacher of the Year award of the university.
