Linux Remote Access

Access from off-campus must be made through either Corsair Desktop or through a VPN connection.

via Corsair Desktop
Log onto corsair desktop:
https://www.umassd.edu/cits/corsairdesktop/corsair-virtual-desktop/

There are desktop icons for eng-svr-1 and eng-svr-2

through VPN connection:

Windows: Type "Remote Desktop Connection" in the search bar
MacOS:  Download Microsoft Remote Desktop client from app store

 


Remote desktop servers:
134.88.53.54 (eng-svr-1)
134.88.53.55 (eng-svr-2)
134.88.54.45 (SDR server - must be enrolled in ECE-403-02 or ECE-591-02)

Mapped drives:
/home/username        (L: linux share)
/class                (M: Class drive)

Installed Software:
ADS
GNU Radio (SDR server)
Mathematica
Matlab
Netbeans (PHP IDE)
OpenFOAM
Oracle Client
Python (2.7, 3.6)
TCAD Sentaurus
Veins (OMnet++, Sumo)

To end your session:
From the pull down menu at top right corner, username  -> Log Out

Special notes:

default shell is bash, save custom settings to ~/.bashrc

Disconnected sessions are automatically terminated after 2 hours.
