IMPORTANT information regarding 2009-2010 Financial Aid Awards
Beginning with the 2009-2010 academic year, the UMass Dartmouth Financial Aid Office will no longer mail financial aid award notices. When your financial aid award is produced, an email notification will be sent to your UMass Dartmouth email address indicating your financial aid can be viewed via the Finances link in COIN at http://www.umassd.edu/coin/
This effort will reduce postage costs and paper usage and allow you to receive access to your financial aid award much sooner than postal mail. Please be sure to inform your family that paper financial aid notices will no longer be mailed.
We will begin awarding 2009-2010 financial aid packages for current students whose files are complete in early June. Please check COIN regularly for any items on your TO DO list that require attention as well as important financial aid updates.

Financing your education is one of the most important issues you and your family face. At the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, the Financial Aid Services Office is ready to work with you to help ensure success in your University financing plans.
We are pleased to provide you with this information as a means of explaining the wide variety of financial aid programs and services offered through Federal, state, and University sources. Many students receive financial assistance at UMass Dartmouth including grants and scholarships (which do not have to be repaid), loans (most repaid at low interest rates after graduation), and student employment (giving you the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a University job).
In addition, the University has established the University Enrollment Center, a convenient "one-stop" office to answer questions and complete transactions concerning registration, billing, and financial aid.
The Financial Aid Services Office remains committed to providing you with excellent customer service, timely delivery of information, and sensitivity to your individual financial concerns.
