The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering prepares engineers who plan, design, and build essential facilities and systems—structures, highways, harbors, airports, to name a few. They are involved with water power and supply, environmental initiatives, waste disposal, and hazardous clean-ups.

You will learn from professors who are committed to teaching, mentorship, and innovative research: in the classroom, in labs, and through experiential learning. You will gain the skills and experience required for a rewarding, challenging career, and you will be prepared to pursue advanced studies.
