Exhibitions 2026: Emerging Young Artists and Designers 2026 Juried Exhibition

Virtual Exhibition Opening, Reception, and Awards Presentation: Friday, February 6, 4:30pm

UMass Dartmouth’s College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) is pleased to present the Emerging Young Artists and Designers 2026 Juried Exhibition, continuing the tradition of exhibiting outstanding high school students’ work since 2013.  
 
The EYAD 2026 virtual exhibition opening, reception, and awards presentation for the exhibiting artists and designers, their teachers, the UMass Dartmouth community, and the general public will be held online on Friday, February 6, 4:30pm, via Zoom.

Emerging Young Artists and Designers is a highly competitive online juried exhibition, which celebrates the exceptional merit of New England’s high school students. EYAD 2026 received submissions from over 550 young artists and designers, from which the jurors, CVPA’s Dean Denise Baxter and Associate Dean Ann Kim selected 100 works for the exhibition. An online showcase of the selected pieces will be available on this page following the virtual opening. The exhibition offers a glimpse into the unique perspectives of New England's young talents. 
 
Award winners and runners up will have the opportunity to exhibit their work in the UMass Dartmouth CVPA Campus Gallery from Saturday, February 14, through Sunday, February 22, with an awards presentation and reception taking place on Sunday, February 22, from 12:30pm-2:00pm.
