The UMass Dartmouth College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) is proud to present NO PARAMETERS, a summer exhibition showcasing the diverse talents of its incoming class. Running through August 2026 at the CVPA Campus Gallery, this unique exhibition features artwork from over one hundred incoming, first-year students as they take their first official steps into the university’s creative community.

The concept behind NO PARAMETERS began during the admissions process. Upon submitting their portfolios to the online applicant portal, prospective students were asked by Jason Loete, Director of Recruitment, Retention & Student Success to identify a single piece of work they felt was "gallery worthy." The featured works represent a broad and diverse group of emerging artists spanning all areas of concentration within the CVPA’s Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), Bachelor of Science (BS), and Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree programs, offering everything from traditional fine arts to cutting-edge design and media.
