Faculty Lori Bradley

Lori Bradley holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, a Master of Art Education degree from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth (UMD), a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the Atlanta College of Art in Atlanta, GA, and is currently working towards a graduate degree in Professional Writing at UMD. She specializes in creative non-fiction. Her goal is to create curricula combining the visual arts with the written word, in both traditional and digital media.

Lori taught at the Atlanta College of Art (now the Savannah College of Art and Design) for five years. She served as a Department Chair for four years and designed the first studio-major program in Electronic Media at the Atlanta College of Art. Lori has been teaching for the last nine years at UMD in the Department of Art Education and has developed curricula for the Technology in the Arts Classroom series of special topics courses.

Lori has been creating artwork in ceramic and print mediums for over 20 years. In recent years, her artwork has been shown in the biannual State of Clay Exhibition at both the Lexington Arts Center and the Fuller Museum of Craft in Brockton, MA, The Digital Insight Exhibition at the Fuller Museum, The Art of Mosaic Exhibition at the Somerville Museum in Somerville, MA, An American Craftsman Galleries in New York, NY, All Fired Up Pottery and Gallery in Newport, RI, Art and Soul Gallery in Cranston, RI, Red Shift Gallery in Denver, CO, The Berkshire Arts Festival, The Rustic Show in Danbury, CT, The Fine Furnishings 2006 and 2007 Providence Shows, and The Craft Today Exhibition at the Silvermine Arts Center in New Canaan, CT. Her ceramics and digital monotypes are included in private collections throughout the United States.

Lori a partner in a new cooperative gallery called MOSAIC at 752A Purchase Street in New Bedford, MA. She maintains a studio space at ArtWorks! at 384 Acushnet Avenue in New Bedford, MA and is active in many local arts and culture events and organizations, including monthly Art, History and Architecture (AHA!) nights, and the Annual New Bedford Open Studio events.
