About Kyla Ellis
Hi, my name is Kyla Ellis and I am a graduating senior in the Interior Architecture + Design program here at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. I enjoy designing spaces that arevibrant,welcoming, and user friendly to everyone. Design has always had my heart and I am so gratefulfor where it has ledme in my career. This program hasgiven me so muchknowledgefor my future.
Statement
My Senior thesis is focused on creating a new type of workspace inthe coming years following the coronavirus pandemic. This focuswas chosenafter the numberof businesses and offices that were forced to close during this difficult time. This new workspace is a shared office, a space where small businesses, independentworkers, and otherentrepreneurs who have been displaced due to the pandemiccan have a morereliableplace to work from. This type of environmentwill help return collaboration, networking, and community back into daily life.
