About Katie Robinson
Katie Robinson is a graphic designer and painter from Marion, Massachusetts. She discovered her knack for design in middle-school, designing user icons for internet forums. Her enjoyment for art spans across different mediums, and she frequently incorporates her painting and illustration into her designs.
Statement
Feather Festival
The topic chosen for this exhibition is an electronic music festival. Feather Festival, an homage to musician Little Dragon’s song “Feather”, is the festival of my dreams. I began with a drawing inspired by the featured music, and designed my posters accordingly. I hand-picked my favorite musicians for a lineup that spans across 2 days. I envisioned an event where people can congregate and bond over their love for electronic music. Attendees are able to camp out on-site, or commute to and from the site for individual days. The festival itself will be full of color, sound, fun, and good vibes. Fireworks will be held on both nights, and attendees will be able to enjoy drinks as well as food from a variety of different food trucks. There will also be various arts and crafts tables for attendees to relax and enjoy whenever they get tired from dancing.
