About Peyton McCarthy
Peyton McCarthy is a graduating senior In the Interior Architecture and Design program at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She has always expressed an interest in how things are created even at a young age. She really enjoys the technical aspect of interior design and likes to express her creativity through the creation of construction documents and detail drawings.
Statement
My senior thesis is about the lack of access young adults have to art, specifically as a form of therapy. This problem led to the creation of “Pigment of Imagination”, a community mental health art center located in San Antonio Texas. Focusing on creativity, wellness, and motion, Pigment of Imagination strives to make people feel welcomed, safe, and expressive.
