About Sarah Blatz
Sarah was born in China and grew up in Amherst Massachusetts. From a young age she showed great interest in artistic hobbies. As she grew up, she eventually found herself pursuing her passions in art. In 2016 she left high school in her senior year to attend Greenfield Community College. There she would graduate with an associate's degree in art and design in spring of 2020. From there she went to Becker College to complete her bachelor’s, but, because of the pandemic, the college closed after her being there for only one school year. Thankfully, UMass Dartmouth welcomed her into their art program for her senior year.
Statement
In all honesty, I have jumped from project to project over the past 2 semesters while figuring out what to do for my senior showcase. My art inspiration is always changing and I really enjoy trying new things in art. I heard a quote once saying “you will never grow if you just do what you’re familiar with”. So I have put together some simple and sweet comic pages about 3 characters I created. Aka the red fox, Hiyake the miniature goat, and Shiro the heterochromia cat. Although they are all different animals, they are all friends and enjoy spending time together.
