About Mia Bennett

Mia Bennett is a Massachusetts based graphic designer who possesses a wide skill set within both digital and analog creation. She is interested in various aspects of design, especially typography and both web and print design. In 2023, she received her BFA in Graphic Design from the College of Visual and Performing Arts as well as a minor in Business Administration from the Charlton College of Business, both at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. As a designer, she believes that anything can be art if looked at in the right light.

Statement

ArchType is a book that explores various architectural styles and delivers them through a useable typeface. The project focuses on twenty-six different strange and unconventional buildings. After doing extensive research Mia used her creative liberties to pull letterforms from multiple angles of each building in order to build her font. This project combines her passion for typography and interest in unique architecture to create something just as fun and unique.
