About Abigail Cronin
Abigail Cronin is a graduating senior of the Interior Architecture + Design program here at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. From the young age of eight she has had a passion for design when her father helped her sketch her first-floor plan and her mother helped her choose out the finishes. As the years went on, Abigail found herself here and developed a passion for healthcare and hospitality.
Statement
My senior thesis The Saint Charles Hospice and Palliative Care Center gives a remodel to hospice and palliative care facilities by converting them into medical hotels. Saint Charles is dedicated to my late Papa Charles Cronin, my family, and the care providers that supported us as we grieved, but also grieved with us.
Located in Kennebunkport, Maine on Colony Beach, one day will sit a fresh coastal getaway inspired by the sand dollar, a conch shell, and sea glass. Bring your loved one to stay as they take their last breath surrounded by their loved ones to visit, a space for a guest to stay overnight, the grand living room to gather with family, friends, your loved one, and a wellness wing for our care staff to take a breath from the world around them.
