About Bianca Cunnha
Bianca Cunha is a graduating senior in the Interior Architecture and Design program. She characterizes her journey in the program as engaging, fun and enriching and extends her heartfelt gratitude to her professors for their unwavering support. Bianca has always had a passion for interior design and the impact it has on the world as well as the meaningful connections it fosters between designers and clients. When she is not fully immersed in a design project, she spends her time traveling, enjoying nature and embracing life.
Statement
My thesis project, The Script Boutique Hotel at the Orpheum, involves the adaptive reuse of the Orpheum Theater in New Bedford, MA into a boutique hotel and dinner theater experience. As a New Bedford native, I hold this building dear to my heart and seek to bring it back to life through my design. Within this dynamic space, guests are invited to journey through the theater's rich history, while simultaneously embracing new beginnings and contributing to its ongoing narrative.
