About Casey Young
Casey Young is an Interior Architecture + Design major pursuing a Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She received an Associate in Arts with a concentration in Engineering, Math, and Science from Cape Cod Community College. Interior architecture + Design is a field that combines her creative and technical side. Casey’s personal design philosophy is to create a positive experience for the end user. Designs should be pleasing to the eye and pleasing to the body.
Statement
My senior thesis “Revive” delves into the redesign of a cruise ship, placing a central emphasis on health and wellness. Unlike traditional cruise experiences centered on overindulgence, passengers aboard this vessel will depart with a sense of personal growth and revitalization. Through its remodel, the ship aims to offer guests the ultimate experience, blending elements of luxury and wellness inspired by the rejuvenating properties of sea salt.
