About Kendall Colclough
Kendall is an illustration major with an interest in clashing uses of color and thick linework, whether the work be digital or traditional. Her interest put her on a path towards a career in tattooing. She has been an apprentice at a small shop since the beginning of 2023. She plans to specialize in fine lines and surrealist work.
Statement
The nine pieces portrayed stem from Kendall’s personal perspective of emotion to her fascination with bodily horror; branching from internal turmoil to physical abstraction. They've been separated into three columns, each sharing a likeness of bodily autonomy as well as common reds and blues. Her rendering process creates a phenomenon where the art is legible from a distance but invites closer viewing to discern more expressive detail.
