About Edward Barnes

Since childhood, Teddy has been fascinated by the artistic world, but he didn’t know it back then. He enjoyed sketching stories and pushing the animation limits of PowerPoint, his only outlet for design at the time. Between anxiety and difficult circumstances, he had a difficult time with school, often struggling to find the strength to step out of the house. Thanks to the unending support from his parents, friends, and educators, he gradually found the confidence to pursue his career. Once he learned he could make a career out of his curiosity for design, he leaped at the chance to learn and grow professionally. Today, he continues developing his voice as a designer and reports feeling healthier and happier than he’s ever been.

Statement 

As a graphic designer, my job is to translate language into a visual medium. As such, my work prioritizes functionality and clarity. That doesn’t stop me from working to make my designs as visually pleasing as possible. When I begin a project, I start by collecting images for inspiration, sketching ideas, and assigning myself a schedule. From there, I go step by step to transform my ideas into completed work in an organized fashion. I’m excited to share my latest project at the Senior Exhibition 2025.
