About Alyssa Viveiros

Alyssa Viveiros is an illustrator based in Southern Massachusetts with an interest in visual narrative. Starting as a Painting major at Bristol Community College, she eventually found herself invested in the realm of digital illustration, with special interest in comics and character design. Whether through comics, video games, or film and TV, Alyssa’s main goal is to have a hand in creating stories that others can enjoy and resonate with.

Statement

I have always had a love for stories. I have often found myself collecting comics like The Walking Dead or Trigun and becoming enthralled with the lives of fictional characters. As such, it only made sense to create my own with this capstone serving as a prologue.

Remora is about a young woman named Mire who is responsible for the care of her grandparents on a harsh, unforgiving planet. To fulfill their last wishes, she forfeits the life she knows to shepherd them through a long, arduous journey. On a trip motivated by love and good intentions, selfishness and grief take hold to form an ominous cloud over what lies ahead.
