About Charlotte “Charlie” Mulhern
Charlie Mulhern is an illustrator from Long Valley, New Jersey. Her portfolio features a mix of fan art and original stories, with some of her earliest inspiration being the Warriors series. She has found fresh inspiration in horror RPGs like Five Nights at Freddy’s and Little Nightmares. She finds intrigue and comfort in the horrifying and macabre.
Statement
This project is a short demo of a game inspired by survival horror RPGs such as Look Outside and Fear & Hunger (be careful looking that last one up). Great Vacation is my first venture into the world of making games. While I have made lots of different work in the past, I wanted to tell this story through the medium of video games. The game takes place in a steampunk world where a city’s population has vanished without a trace. Accompany a mismatched trio of friends and their unwilling chaperone as they attempt to solve the mystery at the behest of the king without disappearing themselves.
