About Emanuel Moreira

Howdy! My name is Emanuel Moreira, also known as “Eman.” I am a concept artist and 3D artist from Fall River, Massachusetts. I have always enjoyed being creative, but my interest in art really grew during high school after transferring to Diman Regional, where I first focused on graphic design. I loved creating notepads, notebooks, and collages, and throughout high school I enjoyed making things in my own unique way. 

By the end of community college, animation became my main passion. I love creating characters in 2D and then seeing them come to life as fully realized designs. As a transfer student at UMass Dartmouth, I was pushed to explore new areas, including 3D work, which helped me develop a deeper love for animation. I enjoy modeling props and characters in 3D and hope to continue building these skills in the future. 

Right now, my main focus is concept art and character design. I love creating characters and imagining them as part of my own art world.

Statement

My capstone project, The 6Fusioneers, is a character series based on different elements combined into unique humanoid designs. I enjoy working with elemental themes and creating characters whose personalities are influenced by the object or element they represent. 

Character creation has been my strongest interest throughout college, and this project allowed me to explore how these characters could exist within a larger world of my own design. Working on this series has been exciting because I was able to develop each character’s identity and understand why they represent their specific element.
