Statement
Sweet Dreams is a 2D animated short that I created for my capstone project. It follows two magical beings called Dreamcrafters, whose job is to shape the dreams of the humans in the waking world. One new Dreamcrafter, John, is excited to be assigned his first official job. However, to his shock and horror, a Nightmare is already in the human’s subconscious! John has no idea what to do and the two of them get into a heated argument, affecting the human’s dream in the process. Is the Nightmare meant to be there after all? Why do they have beef with each other? Will they even take one second to double check their schedules?
With my capstone, I wanted to bring together everything I've learned so far in my classes to make something original I'd be proud of. I wanted to showcase a snippet of one of the larger stories that I’ve been conceptualizing for some time now. I’ve always enjoyed writing and coming up with characters, I’ve just been really shy about sharing!
