Statement
Bluefish is a local South Shore-based beer brand created to explore package and label design while highlighting the place I grew up. The beer gets its name from Bluefish River, located in my hometown of Duxbury, Massachusetts. Every summer, it’s a local tradition for kids to jump off Bluefish Bridge into the river below, a fun way to celebrate the beach town’s favorite season and acts as a summer kick-off. It seems simple, but simplicity is what summers on the South Shore are all about. The bridge itself is not only a marker for the beginning of summer, but great times with friends and community, making it the perfect focus for a local brand wanting to convey the same message.
