Statement

Bat Trap is a comic book that follows the lost bat girl, Battrii. She is lured into a bell tower by a villainous skeleton and his iron masked underling, Iron Bones. To escape, Battrii must think fast or be caught in the trap, where her bones will be used to make a couch. The first issue consists of 20 pages and was made using the digital programs Procreate and Adobe InDesign. The story takes inspiration from the action and comedy of Kung Fu Panda, the eerie tone and characters of Nightmare before Christmas, and the emotional hook of both. Alone with two undead hunting her, the odds are against our heroine. But Iron Bones begins to question his loyalty. Can the tables be turned?
