About Kara Cushman

Hi, I am Kara, an Interior Architecture + Design senior. I am from a small town in upstate New York about 3 and a half hours away from UMass Dartmouth. I enjoy being outdoors, hanging out with my dog, and running. One of the biggest accomplishments in my life has been running a half marathon.

Statement

I have gotten to design many different types of spaces during my studies, but I am especially drawn to hospitality design. I love creating spaces that feel welcoming, comfortable, and meaningful for anyone who walks in. Designing restaurants, lounges, and guest environments lets me blend functionality with atmosphere, helping shape experiences that people remember.
