About Katelyn Pereira
Katelyn Pereira is an artist, designer, and storyteller based in Westport, Massachusetts, graduating with a BFA from the Graphic Design program along with a minor in Photography. She specializes in creative marketing and brand storytelling, as well as freelancing as an artist in her spare time. Being able to invoke a multitude of feelings to an audience is one of her many strengths; she is always looking for new ways of showing emotion through dialogue, tone, and color through her work–whether through digital applications or shot calling behind a lens.
Statement
Katelyn’s senior thesis is the creation of Analogue, an audio and instrument equipment manufacturer company that focuses on human connectivity and conversation through music and analog technology. Taking inspiration from iconic brands such as Fender and Gibson, Katelyn chose to create a sleek, iconic brand that embraces what it means to be human; with the mistakes made through playing an instrument and how struggle can be worth it through human connection. Analogue bridges this gap through its instruments and emotional storytelling, cherishing the user’s growth musically and inwardly. This thesis comprehensively shows how Katelyn handles problems with a variety of skill levels–from a simple merchandise photoshoot to woodworking a custom electric guitar body for the first time. The struggles she faced with her thesis was a testament to her strength and determination, making her a solid asset to any brand looking to tell their own unique story.
