About Kaylin Zalewski

I am a Graphic Design Major. I’ve also played basketball here at UMass Dartmouth for 5 years, and we won the LEC championship for the 2024-25 season. I was captain for my last two years, and it was one of the greatest and most cherished experiences I’ve experienced. Most of my work consists of athletic branding with a minimalist style, but for my capstone I've decided to branch out and take a leap on a childhood idea, I hope you enjoy it. 

Statement

So, I decided to go to a Snowball stand. And I know you’re probably thinking about the snowballs you throw at your annoying siblings. But this version is different; think snow cone but better.  

A snowball is finely shaved ice, packed into a cup with flavored syrup and toppings. The flavors are endless, ranging from strawberry- to -strawberry shortcake.  

Since New England has no snowball shops, that was also a motivator for me, since I’ve always craved these as a kid and was never able to get one at home. I think everyone deserves to feel that joy and have that experience of having their first snowball because I know I’ll never forget mine.
