About Maya Therriault
Maya Therriault is a graduating senior earning a degree in Animation + Game Arts with a minor in Illustration. She has always wanted her art to help people connect with one another and to touch others’ hearts and minds, and she hopes that her time in this program has helped her grow toward that goal.
Statement
Collecting the Pieces (of Me) is a personal story about self-discovery and the obstacles we face as we grow as individuals. This animation follows the hardship the main character experiences alongside her companion kitty. As they collect pieces of her core self, the more chaos begins to grow within her. She eventually realizes, too late, that there is no way to return to who she was after collecting the final piece: the heart.
