About Zack Kelly

Zack Kelly is a comic artist and illustrator from Weymouth, MA. He began drawing as a little kid, inspired by Cartoon Network shows like Ben 10, Adventure Time, and Regular Show. When Zack delved into comics like Batman: The Long Halloween, he was blown away by the storytelling. One of the most impactful stories was The Walking Dead by Robert Kirkman. Inspired by this comic and the cartoons he watched as a kid, Zack began creating compelling art and stories designed to have a positive effect on people.

Statement

Iceborn is a comic about a happy and innocent kid named Olek whose world gets turned upside down. Rendered digitally with dark, heavy inks inspired by the work of Mike Mignola and Charlie Adlard, the story follows Olek through the quiet moments of his regular life before everything changes. With inspiration from Adventure Time, Hellboy and The Walking Dead, the world of Iceborn is ever-winter and mysterious, with hints of post-apocalyptic setting. We follow Olek through his mundane life as he deals with his own problems through his passion and innocence.
