Biography
Hi! My name is Kat Eastwood and I am a senior in the Interior Architecture and Design program. I have a love for creating cohesive designs that allow people to feel welcomed. Whether they visit this space daily or once in their life, they should feel like they belong. I enjoy all aspects of design but am particularly drawn to space planning and problem solving. I consider myself to be a hard worker striving to push myself to become better and further my knowledge every day through new obstacles and experiences. I am always up for a new challenge!
My senior thesis project is a sustainable boutique hotel located in Newport, Rhode Island. Edge Hotel focuses on sustainability and wellness. Our goal is to teach you new sustainable strategies and how to be mindful of your carbon footprint. Once guests leave Edge Hotel we hope you use these tools and continue to incorporate what you learned into your daily lifestyle long after your stay.
