Statement

Hygge Festival is a hypothetical festival design celebrating the practice of hygge. I was interested in exploring the areas of branding and visual design that go into creating a festival, while also bringing awareness to the practice of hygge. Hygge is the Danish art of creating joy and coziness in life’s everyday moments. This concept resonated with me as it’s something I have been incorporating in my life well before I knew there was a name for it. Within the Hygge Festival branding I created a visual system that was engaging and fun, while keeping the feeling of coziness and warmth that embodies the concept of hygge. I hope after viewing my project you will start to incorporate hygge into your life and enjoy more moments of coziness in your day.
