About Nuri Sherpa
Nuri Sherpa is a Nepali designer who went to Mount Ida in 2016 and immediately realized he wanted to pursue fashion. Over the course of his degree, he has participated in various fashion shows hosted by Local institutions and the university. He hopes to open his own boutique someday.
Statment
For the final semester, the designer decided to bring back the culture of his hometown Solukhumbhu to the states. Using textiles from Nepal, Nuri emulated style-lines and repeated shapes found in the cultural dress of his homeland to create a modern collection for the Nepali-American community.
