About Tianna Peters-Williams

Tianna Peters-Williams is an illustrator originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. They have always had a special interest in character design, but studying at UMass Dartmouth gave them the opportunity to explore many new artistic techniques and mediums in the illustration major. Their senior thesis explores environmental concepts with a focus on color and composition. 

Statement 

I created these illustrations to show that the environments are just as important and can create various emotional spaces in the same ways our characters do, using color and composition to create each scene. I played with the idea of a character traveling and interacting with the world around them, leaving more questions about their journey as they go through each piece.  I hope by joining the character on their journey through these illustrations the audience can sit in their emotions and imagine what it could feel like traveling alongside them.
