Statement
Growing up in Fall River’s North End near the old Brightman Street Bridge, the waterfront has always been a meaningful part of my life. Childhood experiences such as visiting Bicentennial Park and Heritage State Park, riding the carousel, fishing along the river, exploring Battleship Cove, and watching the annual fireworks created a strong personal connection to this place. This project focuses on refreshing the visual identity and digital experience of the Fall River waterfront during a time of major transformation in the city. Fall River’s waterfront represents both the city’s past and its future. This project responds to that moment by proposing updated visuals and digital tools that better reflect the waterfront’s evolving identity. The Fall River waterfront is both a design exploration and a personal contribution to the city that shaped those experiences.
