Statement
My work is in constant motion, evolving as life’s journey twists, turns, and continues to inspire. I express transient moments abstracted, distilled, and translated to offer an alternative perspective often overlooked by the mainstream. My work explores themes of injustice, feminism, inequality, and transition, rooted in current events. Balanced on the cusp of figural representation and gestural abstraction, I build intuitive visual connections in my work.
Multidisciplinary practices of painting, drawing, sculpture, and photography allow exploration, scrutiny, and immersion into the immediacy of thought, place, and awareness. I strive to invoke an internal response of inquisitiveness and realization. Using texture, layers, color, and composition, I communicate with a broad range of materials, pausing to add thoughtful details.
