Campus Cleanup - 11/6/2009
Sign in will begin at 1:30pm at the Campus Center Patio. We'll use the Farmer's Market table to assign groups to locations and distribute bags and gloves. At approximately 2pm the cleanup will begin. Two Green Navigators will remain with the table to sign up late arrivals and provide direction.
Volunteers will be instructed to pick up trash in their assigned location first before moving on to a neighboring zone. Filled bags are to be dropped off on Ring Road to be collected by facilities. Special Notice:
- It is not advised for volunteers to enter the wooded areas that contain thick under brush to collect litter.
- Please take note of the following items and their location for the Facilities Dept.
- Broken glass or bottles
- Car batteries, paint cans, or other harmful chemicals
- Items that weigh more than 10 pounds (i.e. cinder blocks and car tires)
Campus Dining Services will begin setting up the ice cream sundae and hot beverage (coffee, tea, and hot chocolate) tables at 4:30. Volunteers will be advised to start returning to the Campus Center Patio at 4:30 to 4:45 to sign out if they need their participation documented for community service hours. All volunteers are then invited to take part in the Ice Cream Social that will run until 6pm.
