ACT 444: Finan Statmnt Analy Firm Valua - fall

Prerequisite: FIN 312, Senior standing; Business Majors only

Financial statement interpretation from the perspective of investors, analysts, and other financial decision-makers. It moves beyond ratio analysis to explore how industry competition, business strategy, accounting choices, taxes, cash flows, and financing decisions affect firm performance, risk, and value. Through hands-on exercises, discussion, and a team project, students work with real company data, build forecasts in Excel, and apply valuation models in practical settings. The course also connects financial analysis to contemporary business issues such as sustainability, AI applications, and market-based decision-making.
