BMB 520: Quantitative Physiology - fall

Prereq: For Students in the BMB Graduate Program

Focus on the concepts and principles essential to the understanding of human physiology. The subject of human anatomy and physiology will be covered broadly while analyzing functional physiology from an engineering viewpoint. Students will use mathematical models for applicable physiological processes which are critical for the design of therapies or devices. Students will use the understanding of the function of the human body to research current therapies for organ failure. This course will provide a framework for the study of advanced topics in biomedical engineering and biotechnology.
