ECE 258: Oper Sys Essentials Cybersec - fall

Prerequisite: CPE and ELE majors only, ECE 160 or ECE 170

Operating system fundamentals with a focus on security. The topic covers a full range of command-line and shell activities, including managing accounts, developing account security policies, setting file permissions, process control, and automation. It also looks at a variety of security issues such as firewalls and intrusion detection. Additional security tasks are introduced as well.
