Prerequisite: 30 units completed; Pre or Co-requisite: LAW 525, permission of instructor.
Immigration law clinic where students will represent clients in various immigration situations. Students will develop client interviewing, advocacy, and counseling skills while learning about the immigration system. Students will consider questions of individual and systemic justice as they develop their professional identities. Students will learn about asylum law and the immigration system and how to advocate for their client within this system while considering questions of client dignity and empowerment.
