Focus on the nurse¿s role in guiding persons with chronic illness and their families through the healthcare experience. The RN student¿s knowledge from nursing theory, clinical practice, and research supports holistic perspectives of the illness experience. Concepts of chronic illness are the foundational knowledge for promoting health within chronic illness.
