Focus on the pivotal role of theory and theoretical thinking in the exploration, development and advancement of knowledge for nursing practice. Broad areas explored include concept and theory evolution within nursing and related science, and the relationship between concepts, theory, research and practice. Graduate students engage in elucidating the distinctive perspectives of the nursing discipline in promoting health, guiding persons through health care experience and shaping the health care environment.
