POM 415: Decis Analytics for Operations - spring

Prerequisite: POM 333

Learning how leading companies use data and analytical tools to make smarter operational decisions. Why does your coffee shop line move faster than the one across the street? How does Amazon decide how much inventory to hold? Why do hospitals struggle to staff ERs? This course gives you the analytical toolkit behind these decisions involving queuing, scheduling, staffing, product mix, and inventory optimization. You'll work with real datasets and explain how you'd solve operational problems at companies like Amazon, Delta Airlines, CVS, or Tesla.
