Dr. Chan Du is an Associate Professor in the Accounting and Finance Department at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She currently serves as the Interim Associate Dean of Charlton College of Business. Before she joined UMass Dartmouth, she was an assistant professor of Department of Accountancy at the Craig School of Business in California State University, Fresno. Dr. Du has taught Principles of Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, and Financial Statement Analysis at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Her research interests are in the areas of corporate governance, executive compensation, earnings management and company’s risk-taking. Her research has been published in various refereed journals and presented at conferences such as American Accounting Association’s annual meetings.
