Courses

Genetics applied to biological conservation. Conservation of biodiversity and threatened species are informed and aided by using genetic and genomic information. Successful understanding and application of genetic tools to conservation requires understanding population genetic theory and the evolutionary processes by which species go extinct. This course will cover both conceptual background and the utility of genetic approaches to conservation problems
