Weeks of Welcome 2025 (WOW2025)

Kick off your UMass Dartmouth experience with Weeks of Welcome—a series of events big and small, academic and social, exciting activities and time-honored traditions—some required, all recommended! This is an opportunity to explore the campus, meet new people, and get ready for the first day of classes.  You'll also see Corsair champions in action during the first athletic events of the school year.  

The 2025 Weeks of Welcome (WOW25) runs from August 31-September 20. It starts with Move-In Day and includes some of our favorite Corsair traditions like the Class Photo, Student Convocation and All-Campus Picnic.  Every new student will also participate in Corsair Olympics - your opportunity to compete in fun events as residential and commuter students.  It’s a blast!   

Events continue through the first two weeks of classes for new and returning students.  There’s something for everyone during Weeks of Welcome!  See below for a full list of WOW events! 

Corsair Olympics  

September 2, 2024 at 5:30pm – First Year Quad  

Corsair Olympics is a spirit-filled competition between residential and commuter students.  It’s our campus tradition, our very own version of the Olympic games that gives students an opportunity to have fun and compete in a variety of fun activities.  Corsair Olympics starts with the Opening Spirit Run for our three teams: Balsam Hall, Spruce Hall and Commuters.  Teams will compete in a series of events including the great race, yard games, basketball tournaments, a scavenger hunt, wacky relay, Tik Tok dance tournaments, water balloon toss, poster contest, tug of war, and much more!  In the end, the winning team will receive a large trophy and bragging rights for the next year!   

All incoming students are invited to compete.
